A Special Word About Hair
In all dance classes, hair must be worn pulled back from face. Ballet students are required to wear their hair in a bun at the nape of the neck or on top of the head. “Bun kits” will be distributed free of charge to all ballet students the first week of classes. Thereafter, students who come to class without the proper hair arrangement will need to buy a “bun kit” from their teacher or our office. Improperly fastened hair creates a distraction and can make proper movement impossible. Part of the discipline of dance class is coming to class with the proper attire – shoes, skirt, and leotard – and both removing jewelry and fastening one’s hair.
